The Ohio Cichlid Association would like to invite you to Extravaganza 2023! This will be the 29th consecutive year that the OCA has hosted this event, which has become the most popular and economical regional aquarist gathering in the U.S. Registration is now open! https://www.ohiocichlid.com/
As always, the Extravaganza will be held the weekend before Thanksgiving, which this year will be November 17-19. As it has since the 1st one in 1995, the event is held at the Best Western Plus Strongsville. The room rate will remain an incredible $74/night for registered attendees! (We cross-check, so if you don’t register, you’ll be billed at full price.) This year’s speakers will be Ad Konings, Michael Tobler (Kansas State University), Frederic Schedel (Salzburger Lab in Switzerland), and Haakon Haagensen (Norway). Plus, Babes In The Cichlid Hobby co-founder Caroline Estes will have a special adults only program for us late Friday night. Watch here for more information about our guests and their presentations. You must be registered to attend the talks.
Other features: Vendor Room, Saturday Swap Meet, the big Cichlid and Catfish Show, hotel room sales, Saturday Pizza Party and Awards Presentation, a Dry Goods Auction, and a huge Sunday Cichlid and Catfish Auction. The Pizza Party, a well-stocked Hospitality Room, and morning coffee and pastries are all free to registered attendees. Non-registered attendees are free to visit the Vendor Room, wander the halls in search of deals on rare fish, and attend the two auctions.
